Nobuyuki Tsujii - Tears at the Carnegie Hall 2011 辻井伸行さんの涙
On Nov, 10, 2011, Japanese pianist Nobuyuki Tsujii debuted at the Carnegie Hall, New York City, U.S.A., as part of the "Keyboard Virtuosos II" series.
For encores, he played three pieces.
The first, "Homage to Jeanie" ジェニーへのオマージュ, is a rendition of "Jeanie with the Light Brown Hair" by American song writer Stephen Foster (1826-1864)").
The second encore was Chopin's "Raindrop" prelude.
The last encore was "Still we live" それでも、生きてゆく, a piece composed by Mr. Tsujii in March 2011 while on a concert tour in the United States, soon after a devastating earthquake and tsunami struck Eastern Japan.
As seen on this video, Nobuyuki was overcome with emotion as he performed the last encore.
