2. An unmistakeable ability to enjoy each moment.

3. Loss of interest in judging self.

4. Loss of interest in judging others.

5. Loss of interest in conflict and one-upmanship.

6. Loss of interest in interpreting actions of worry.

7. Loss of ability to worry (This is a SERIOUS symptom!).

8. Frequent, overwhelming episodes of appreciation.

9. Feelings of contentment and connectedness with others and with Nature.

10. Frequent attacks of smiling.

11. Increased susceptibility to love and to "passing it forward."

12. Increased tendency to let things happen rather than make things happen.

NOTE: If you have all or even most of the above symptoms, your condition of Inner Peace may be so far advanced as to be untreatable!

WebsiteTaoist Philosophy for the 21st Century

Taoist Philosophy for the 21st Century

This is an introductory website of Taoism but also a new interpretation in modern terms. It suits both general and academic readers. Taoism is a philosophy, a religion, and a way of life. It is a vehicle of pure philosophical speculation and also serves as a practical guide to living. We believe that the world has entered a new era and we have to adapt to a new way of life. The modern world with a powerless United Nations as a platform for countries to work out their difference at various levels is pretty much like the ancient Chinese super state of primary societies from 2200 to 476 BC when Taoist lifestyle was popular. This website promotes a new lifestyle based on Taoist philosophy.

Taoism and the Arts of China

How can we understand Taoism? It appears at first to be a school of philosophy, but then we learn that ordained Taoist priests, wearing formal robes, perform prescribed rituals before precisely laid-out altars. It seems firmly rooted in humanism, but then we discover that it boasts an extensive pantheon of deities who populate an elaborate network of heavens. It seems to address in the broadest terms the most general questions, but then we find that its theories are detailed in volumes of painstaking minutia. It may appear as a religion, but then it manifests itself as a system of alchemy, of medicine, of geomancy, of astrology, or in any number of bewildering forms.
